What should I wear/bring?

Out trails are muddy, so durable, waterproof, if possible cross training runners are a must. A light waterproof jacket is recommended in case we experience our world famous liquid sunshine. And of course dressing in layers is key. Cycle or weight training gloves are a good idea and don’t forget to bring a sweat towel, water and a small yoga mat with carrying strap.
For bikers, any well-maintained 18 speed is fine but mountain bikes are preferable. And you must have a bike helmet or no ride, sorry, it’s the law.

Where do the classes take place?

We hang out all over the North Shore of Vancouver. We choose the terrain based on the ability of participants and make sure that everyone has a wonderful time.

What happens if it rains?

Funny question considering the climate of North Vancouver :) Um, it’s going to rain. We don’t cancel classes for a bit of water. Particularly because, up here, the water isn’t really an issue. In fact, its more fun in the rain and mud! Makes you feel like a kid again!

How much are classes/bootcamps?

Private sessions are $45.00/hr.

Find some friends, form a group and I will be happy to work out great rates for everyone.

I also honour pay by the month discounts and 10 punch, 11th work out free cards.

Do you have a group rate?

Yep, prices differ from group to group. Email or call (778.549.8664) for details. We can accommodate just about any group.

What kind of bike do I need?

Contrary to popular belief, you don’t need the mac-daddy of all bikes. You can participate on just about any bike, though a beach cruiser might be a challenge. :)

What’s a PAR-Q?

A PAR-Q or physical activity readiness questionnaire is a self-screening tool that helps us understand where you’re at in your fitness level. It was developed by the British Columbia Ministry of Health and the Multidisciplinary Board on Exercise and is required by everyone participating in FowlerFit programs. Please click here to download you’re PAR-Q prior to your first class. (we keep them on record so no need to repeat this for each class or camp) You can either email the PAR-Q to us at contact@fowlerfit.com or bring a hard-copy to your first class. Can’t wait to see you there!

Do I need to sign a release?

Yep, you can download the Outdoor Release Form here and bring it to  your first class. (don’t worry though, we’ll have some extras in case you forget :)
